Well here we are! I hope you got a good night’s rest. It will be a busy week.
Short words today because I hear there’s a lot going on. *smirk*
If you are feeling anxious, I recommend shutting down Twitter, turning off the t.v., navigating away from FiveThirtyEight, and taking action.
There’s something therapeutic about putting one foot in front of the other – literally, or figuratively.
I call it Action Therapy. It works for me for a few reasons.
Perhaps because anxiety sneaks up on me when I’m in a quiet moment. My brain will find something to noodle on, after all, so giving it something productive to do is better than giving it free rein to freak out and spin down rabbit holes.
As you’re here, reading this, I imagine you have had a similar experience.
But besides keeping my mind occupied, Action Therapy serves another – equally important – purpose.
Tomorrow, the sun will rise.
And when it does, there will be a reckoning in my heart – whether we have a great night, or a terrible night.
Did I do enough?
Could I have done more?
What else should I have done?
Regret is a harsh teacher. Over my lifetime, I’ve taken her class enough times already. I don’t need a refresher.
So friend, do what you can today so that tomorrow morning is easy on you, regardless of the outcome.
Helpfully, there’s no shortage of things to do so you have plenty of choices!
I’m including a few Ballot Cure activities at the top, because those are incredibly high priority. After all, these phone banks are to reach folks who have already voted and just need to fix something on their ballot. Let’s make sure their votes are counted.
Lay it all out there on the field, friend.
I’ll see you on the other side.
Let’s get to work.
Join PA’s Working Families Party to Cure Ballots
ELECTION DAY SCHEDULE: 10am-1pm. 1pm-4pm. 4pm-7pm

Join Michigan Dems Voter Protection to cure Ballots
In Michigan, when a voter’s returned absentee ballot is rejected, the voter has until the end of day on election day to correct any errors or vote a new ballot.
At this training you will learn about what errors require curing, how to guide a voter through the process of submitting the necessary information to their clerk, and how to record that information. We will teach you everything you need to know in order to help empower voters to make sure their voices are heard and their ballots are counted.
Join us to help provide a critical service to voters in Michigan during the November General Election voting period whose ballots are in danger of not being counted.
